Eddie Van Halen and Slash - both played on Jackson hits - have commented on the superstar's shocking death...

Eddie Van Halen provided the rock guitar solo in Jackson's hit song "Beat It." TMZ shares his comment:

"I am really shocked; as I'm sure the world is, to hear the news. I had the pleasure of working with Michael on 'Beat It' back in '83 -- one of my fondest memories in my career.

Michael will be missed and may he rest in peace."

Slash played guitar on Michael Jackson's "Black or White" and "Give in to Me". Here's the amazing video performance from the 1995 MTV Music Awards featuring a killer Slash solo with great close-ups of his fretwork. Realize, I'm kind of giving you an excuse to watch some Michael Jackson moves. Everybody's doing it, even the hardest core rockers so you're in good company...

First, here's Slash's comment:

"Michael Jackson was one of the most talented & dynamic performer/singer/songwriters I ever had the pleasure of working with, he was amazing."
